Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Third grade is such a special year. This year I have 22 incoming third graders who are ready to learn. Our school is located in Southwest Tucson. We are a Title I school. I am eager to start working with my students and preparing them for 4th grade and state testing. Any resources we can get our hands-on is greatly appreciated. Help us to achieve our goal this year. This year's theme is Reading Around the World. Please follow our project and join the fun.
My Project
With social media being what it is, students aren't being exposed enough to the news and current events. With a weekly subscription of Time for Kids, my students will have access to news and current events happening nation wide and around the world. Social Studies is a subject that is not taught enough throughout the school year.
With this wonderful resource, I will be able to provide my students will hands on materials where we can read and comprehend the issues happening around us.
This year our district curriculum is introducing students to Government. Time for Kids would be an excellent resource to compare.
