This year has been quite an emotional roller coaster ride for myself and my students. The COVID pandemic dictated and continues to dictate most of our everyday moves. Learning is different and much more complex due to social distancing rules and mask-wearing.
These art supplies and Teacher Pay Teacher gift card will be used for students to express their creativity.
Due to social distancing and trying to keep each other safe, my students do a lot of art activities individually. The construction paper, tissue paper and watercolors will be used for indoor recess play, read aloud draw alongs and other art projects. Art is a fantastic and fun way to engage all students in expressing their emotions and their creativity.
My students love using mini magic boards to practice writing letters, numbers and doodling. We also use them as response boards to answer questions in whole group. These magic boards are bigger than the miniature ones we are currently using so these will replace the ones they are currently using.
The laminator will be used to laminate individual projects for students to take home as keepsakes. The gift card will be used to purchase ready made social emotional lessons that I can use with my students. Lastly, the Scholastic News articles will be used with my future students to teach reading skills while learning about science and social studies topics.
