This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten is the first school experience for many students. And every student should have the resources to share their work, print out their own stories, decodable books, create classroom books as well as memory books and other art projects.
I teach kindergarten at a Title I school in Southern California.
My class is made up of English only and as well as second language learners. They are a fantastic, hard working group of students with a passion for learning and having fun. They deserve the very best, and I would love to have a working wireless printer/copier in my classroom that all the students could access.
My Project
Your donation to help fund this project would be greatly appreciated as students feel a strong sense of pride and accomplishment when they can share their work, make class books and memory books. They can also use the wireless printer to print out books from reading programs in our classroom. They then can take these home to continue practicing their reading skills. Kindergarten is all about new experiences and expressing themselves and I try to help in anyway that I can. And with so many budget cuts throughout the district, supplies are getting more difficult to get, so having extra printer ink to meet the needs of the students is very important.
Teaching and watching children grow and learn is the most wonderful experience.
But as the financial woes of the state of California and the school district grows, it makes it harder for teachers and students to have all the resources they need for the classroom. I am hoping that by receiving this donation, it will allow my students access to print and copy their work without running out of supplies.
