Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten children have lots of creativity and love to express themselves. The requested art materials will be the perfect accompaniment to the paint and paper we have.
My students are the youngest in the school.
We are a small school located in a lovely mountain setting. Creativity and opportunities for self-expression are all around and the materials will be a fantastic addition to our program. Children can use the materials during small group time, with parent volunteers and during free choice time.
My Project
Do you remember being a young child, your mind filled with lots of creative ideas and then being frustrated that you could not draw or paint the picture you so clearly saw in your head? My students imagine fantastic stories and these materials will help them to illustrate the stories in creative ways, with more realistic objects and people and using fun art materials with paint, stamp pads and crayons.
Allowing children to feel successful with their creative expression is a way to build confidence.
The children will have a wonderful variety of opportunities to explore different artistic mediums as they work with parent volunteers, teachers and aides in small groups. Children will also be able to choose the art area during free choice, and use the materials independently. The shapes and patterns created will reinforce Common Core Standards.
