My Project
My students need art supplies to unleash their creativity and make hands on representations of their work. It is so important to engage students in their learning and we need to figure out how each child can be successful. For many students that means they need to be creative. Children can and will illustrate their understanding through art and visual representations, even when they do not have the language or vocabulary to express themselves.
Art supplies level the playing field for those that have learning needs that include dyslexia, autism, and English Language Learning.
While they might struggle with traditional learning methods, accessing multiple intelligences helps them apply what they are learning in unique ways, That is why I am asking for construction paper, paints, modeling clay and paper to help my students create various ways to illustrate their comprehension and take their leaning to the next level. They are also able to build projects and work collaboratively in this 21st century world using these supplies.
