My preschool-5th grade students are all deaf or hard-of-hearing, but that's where the similarities end!
My students come from many different countries, cultures, and backgrounds.
Some have been at our school since before they were three, and others have just arrived with interrupted education or little-to-no access to language in their home country. All of my students are Dual Language Learners at our Dual Language School for ASL (American Sign Language) and English. Many are multilingual. They are resilient, funny, and hardworking students. I am proud to work with them every day!
