This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the luckiest teacher in the world because I get to spend each day with enthusiastic little learners who are eager. They love to learn and find answers to questions.

I work with many students who are English language learners and students with special needs, but they are the hardest workers I know.

My students need a comfortable environment so that they feel at ease and confident each day and are ready to learn.

Many students do not have many books at home. They need classroom books that are engaging to foster a love of learning. These students usually have further to go, but they reach goals because of their effort.

My Project

As first grade teachers, there are items we just always need more of! Students learn routines and procedures to properly use dry erase markers, crayons, and markers. These items are consumable and students always need more. We work to have learning on dry erase boards and sheet protectors, rather than paper in order to save paper.

These dry erase markers, crayons, markers and glue sticks will be used daily by students.

Much of what first graders learn is done through drawing, labeling, cutting and gluing. These materials will help students show their learning in reading, writing, math, and science.
