My Students
When you think about a Chicago Public Charter School, do you think about gardens? Farmers markets? Organic lunches with vegetarian and vegan options? Chickens? Composting?
Our students are learning how to be mindful leaders who take action both now and in the future to positively impact their communities and the world beyond.
Our innovative and holistic approach to education aims to foster systemic change and inspire the way society educates our future generations.
My students are capable of incredible things as long as they are exposed to the opportunities and experiences that help them develop into well rounded, knowledgable, involved global citizens.
My Project
Have you ever read Pyramus and Thisbe? The oldest surviving edition is Odis' version, published in 8 AD and it is the inspiration for Romeo and Juliet. It also appears in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Our 8th graders used Pyramus and Thisbe as a companion text for our work with Romeo and Juliet and now we want them to experience it as well as other examples of Shakespeare's work live on stage!
We will visit the Chicago Shakespeare Theater located at Navy Pier to engage in a very special performance which will solidify our students' appreciation for Shakespeare for years to come!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
