My Project
My most favorite moment in the world of Deaf Education is when my Deaf students get excited and engage themselves into learning. To boost and support students' learning drive, learning sessions need to be more interactive, innovative, and engaging especially in the math class. The Expo markers will make a big difference in their learning moment as they are more excited to show their work on the whiteboard table with expo markers instead of traditional paper and pencil. My Deaf Education classroom has huge interactive whiteboard tables however the school cannot provide Expo markers, how ironic is that? Expo markers and whiteboards do definitely support our Deaf students' visual learning needs.
Expo markers are not only to make learning more fun, but it does improves the interactive learning experience.
I am a teacher at Deaf state school funded by the state so the school budget is very limited. High percentage of my students are from low-income households, and every students receive a free breakfast and lunch. My school will not be able to fund and support the purchase of expo markers for my math department. So it is a very difficult task to have students to bring their own personal expo markers. I will love to surprise my students and my co-workers with boxes of brand new Expo markers to support my and my coworkers' instructional needs and students' learning needs in the Math class.
