Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn but are limited in resources. These 180 students live in a rural area where enrichment and engaging activities are limited, the only place they have access to these kinds of activities is school. We are a Title I school with 100% of our students qualifying for free or reduced-price meals.

Students love showing the learning in a visual manner.

Every time I give them choices to show their learning, they decide to make a poster or some sort of visual.

My Project

Students will be completing formative and summative assessment on their tables. They will be drawing the information that was learned during class. Drawing helps them with cognitive development, it can help learn to write and think creatively.

The neon markers will allow students to visualize abstract science information taught and learned in class.

Students will be performing academic graffiti and drawings on their school tables. Students will be visualizing their learning after every new topic or vocabulary word. Science can be an abstract concept, therefore, misconceptions should be immediately identified.
