Help me give my students chemicals like zinc, hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric acid, potassium iodide, and motors and batteries for explosive and electric experiments.

My Project
Chemistry is my favorite topic to teach! My students love all of the labs and demos for this unit. I've never met a middle school student who doesn't love experiments where we light things on fire or blow things up. I've requested materials that we can use to do some demonstrations and experiments, such as hydrochloric acid, potassium iodide, mossy zinc, and hydrogen peroxide. We will make elephant toothpaste with the hydrogen peroxide and potassium iodide. This is a fun lab that shows chemical reactions, resulting in an explosion of soap bubbles. We will use the zinc and hydrochloric acid to create a chemical reaction that produces Hydrogen.
I will capture the Hydrogen in a balloon, and light it with a match (from a safe distance of course) for an unforgettable explosion.
We don't have the money in our budget to buy these supplies, but I believe these items will contribute greatly to the experience of my middle school students. These explosive experiments excite my students and inspire them to learn more about science.
I've also requested some motors and batteries for our electricity unit. This unit begins with students attempting to create circuits without instruction. This inquiry based approach helps them to learn the concept better than if I walked them through the steps of creating a circuit. We need to add some batteries to our supplies because some of ours are dying. We also need more motors as several of them are broken. My students love this unit, and I love seeing them troubleshoot as they create their circuits for the first time.
