Fire, smoke and explosions! Help my students have a chemistry class they will remember. I teach chemistry at an inner-city New York high school with a large English language learners and special education population.
Our school recently had up-to-date laboratories renovated. As wonderful as they are, students rarely ever get to use them to their full potential.
With a set of some basic chemicals and laboratory materials, my chemistry students will be able to experience a wide variety of fantastic demonstrations that will enrich and engage them in what can otherwise be a rather dry, equation-laden subject.
Luckily individual chemicals are not terribly costly and for only a few dollars, a usable amount of each can be purchased. After finding a range of demonstrations and making a chemical shopping list to show them off, all that remains is the tab. Help my students really remember how awesome chemistry can be with some mind-blowing demonstrations!
