My students need games, sight-word stamp sets, and a variety of letter writing resources to help them develop the skills needed to become successful in Kindergarten.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten is one of the most important years in a student's educational career.
My students are 4- and 5-year-old kindergarten students.
They are constantly inquiring about their experiences in school and things going on in the world. They attend a school in California in a low socioeconomic area. The students are fortunate to be a part of a school continuously embarking on providing a global curriculum to prepare them for the world.
My Project
As we continue to work with minimal financial support from the state and district, my students are in need of creative and innovative materials to help with their reading and writing abilities. The use of the sight word stamps, magnetic letters, and write/wipe boards will allow my students to develop kindergarten skills. They will learn to recognize and write the alphabets in upper and lowercase forms. The use of the stamps and various games will help the students have fun while learning to read sight words as their reading development progresses throughout the year.
Your donation to our project will help us try to overcome the budget issues that continue to affect our school.
The items listed in this project will allow my students the hands-on practice necessary to develop their skills.
