Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My life long learners come in each morning ready to conquer the world! They are always seeking out new opportunities to learn through unique and engaging activities.
As young learners, we see over and over again that one of the best ways for children to learn is by exploring through play.
Sensory bins will instantly give my students that opportunity at their fingertips!
I can picture my students' eyes lighting up already! They will be instantly engaged in playing with our sensory bins when they see the brightly colored beads, squishy Playfoam Pluffle, plastic letters and numbers, Kinetic Sand, realistic looking tractors and trucks, rocks in different shapes and sizes, and Montessori Sensory Wooden Toys all wrapped up inside of the see through bins!
My hope is that the skills gained through the exploration of sensory bins will reinforce vital social skills that will be used inside and outside of the classroom. Things such as taking turns, teamwork, cooperation, and communication are just a few of the things that they will learn through the exploration of our sensory bins.
