it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Floor hockey is a sport my students have never done before as we have lacked the proper equipment to start the sport. We have lacked the hockey nets to allow the students to ability to properly play the sport.
Who doesn't LOVE using scooters in PE class or playing floor hockey?
With your help my students will be able to use scooters and incorporate them into a game of floor hockey. It will enhance the physical education curriculum and provide the students with an opportunity to learn a new sport + equip them with valuable skills & experiences that extend far beyond the walls of our gymnasium.
For example, this includes developing important social/interpersonal skills such as communication and collaboration. Additionally it works on skill related components such as hand-eye coordination, agility, and balance which can be transferable to any other sport.
