Exploring the Wonders of Weather with Hands-On Materials
Help me give my students the hands-on materials they need to explore the science of weather.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students, naturally curious and energetic, are always eager to learn through exploration and creativity. They thrive when given hands-on materials to express their ideas and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. Their enthusiasm and determination to tackle new challenges make them truly special.
The materials I’m requesting will provide my students with meaningful and hands-on activities related to the weather.
With materials like paper plates, acrylic paint, cotton balls, marshmallows, craft gems, shaving cream, and misting fans, they can create models of weather elements, simulate different cloud types, and explore precipitation through tactile and visual activities. Eye droppers and food coloring will enable them to experiment with how clouds form rain, making abstract concepts tangible. These resources will not only foster critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper understanding of weather but also ignite their excitement for science.
