My students need foraminifera, Navicula, dinoflagellates, diatoms, green algae, daphnia and microscope slides to explore the microscopic world.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. K.'s classroom raised $184

My Students
All my students live in a city and many of them have never explored the microscopic world. Students have examined data to explore past climates during earth’s history. It would be great if the students could see the diatoms, foraminifera and other organisms that they have used data from.
The students in my class live in a city which makes it difficult go out and collect and examine the microscopic world.
They need the extra things to help motivate them and keep them interested in science. We need to keep our students interested and motivated in school.
My Project
To learn about science it is more engaging for students to see the real organism when possible. They can see the organism moving and make observations that they cannot make on a preserved organism. Having slides and making slides of animals and algae will allow students to observe and study the structure of these living things under the microscope.
The best way to teach students about science is to have them see the real thing when possible.
. Having the resources to show students is a very difficult task. Having these materials will help provide an engaging hands-on science curriculum for my students.
