My Students
I teach ICT class and it consists of different types of kids, including kids with special needs. All of those kids are unique and learn in a different way. They are also very creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside of the box. They inspire me to create different activities every day. Sometimes it is hard for them to learn in a certain way, therefore I have to use hands-on, arts and craft activities to meet their needs and have them learn in a special way. These kids have difficulty expressing their thoughts, needs and wants verbally. They grow and learn differently. The enrichment program is one of the programs that will help these students, to explore themselves, learn better and improve academically as well as socially. An enrichment program will help them to express themselves and again learn better. Everyday, I take pride in being who I am and helping my students to grow. I am so lucky to have my students because they are helping me to become a better teacher.
My Project
Every kid is unique and has different needs. Some kids learn using direct instructions and some learn though play and hands on activities. These model making art and craft supplies will be placed in the classroom, where kids will have access to the materials learning and having fun at the same time. They will use these materials during an enrichment program, where they can be independent learners, explore their gifts and talents, and grow academically as well as socially. They also build their confidence. They will use art and craft materials making a model of houses, buildings, animals, etc.
