Exploring Space Through Research

My Students

Low-income. Homeless. High poverty. These are words that people often use to describe our scholars.

However, the words people should concentrate on are: high achievers, determined learners, and creative thinkers.

We are scholars who have a hunger to learn, a passion for knowledge, and a need to succeed. We are looking to expand our critical-thinking skills, explore our creativity, and develop our talents for twenty-first century learning. We are looking to develop our gifts and talents and need your help to do so.

My Project

With our new SEM (school-wide enrichment model) we are hoping to facilitate learning through exploration and research. In our Space Cadets Cluster, we will blasting off from Earth to examine the final frontier. We will be researching and learning to create, carry out, and report on projects. Students will learn important skills including how to think critically, work collaboratively, and be independent thinkers. We need these materials to help establish our research projects and help us in developing our writing skills.

In Space Cadets, students will generate ideas about how to live on other plants, discover and explore living concepts and document it along the way within their research notebooks.

By giving scholars the opportunity to research independently we are creating environments for them to be be creative and learn the skills of future leaders.
