This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school counselor it has been my focus this year to help students adjust back to in person learning, and for some help make their first year in a school setting feel safe and comfortable. Many students are experiencing feelings of anxiety and panic in a classroom and need a place to center themselves.

The feeling of safety and security are necessary for a child to be able to stay in class all day and receive the education they all deserve.

My goal for this project is to create a space for students to ground and re-center themselves when undesired feelings begin to occur.
