My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects, and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day to try new things and take brave chances to grow both personally and academically. Indeed, they are my inspiration!

Many students in my classroom come in saying they have difficulty staying focused and not being distracted.

Our school is nestled in the heart of Southern Utah, surrounded by National parks visited by people from all over the world. History is alive in Southern Utah.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are indeed an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each day, as we prepare to return to school in an environment that is very different from anything they have ever known.

My Project

The science kits will allow each student to explore science concepts hands-on. Each student will need their own experiment kit. Whether we do the experiment in the classroom or have to send the activity home, each child can participate.

Science is learned through doing; each child will be allowed to see science in action.

Each student will have a hands on learning experience in learning about the earths surface and how it changes. The students will test and experiment using these supplies, to make concrete connections with real world experience.
