Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fifth grade science is all about learning about how the world works.

With this project, it is my goal for students to observe a phenomena, be intrigued by it, and investigate the reason for the occurrence.

All of these materials have explanations that students explore in fifth grade science. The Newton's Cradles allow students to see the laws of motion. The lemon clock allows students to see changes in energy. The mirascope will have students exploring the properties of light including reflection and refraction. The lava lamp and bubble timers show real life examples of density.

All of these tools can start out as "Oh Wow!" but turn into "I know how that works!"
