Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having physical copies of the books that are in our program (HMH) will increase the students exposure to different genres and texts and hopefully excite them into wanting to read more. As well as see characters and topics they may never have been exposed to prior.
My goal for this project is to get the third grade students to love reading as much as I do.
I want them to explore and dive into a book and go on as many adventures as they can through the year, learning about people, places and history. Reading is not only a skill, but the ability to go anywhere and do anything.
