My Project
Children who are socially and emotionally healthy will academically excel in school. In our classroom, my students are just learning to put words to their feelings. They are going through significant emotional development in their first year of school. I am asking for donations to facilitate this development through hands-on materials.
I have seen over the years that giving my students the tools and resources to be mentally healthy in the classroom leads to happier, more motivated to learn and participate, and overall very positive students.
With your donation, we will have hands-on materials to help facilitate social-emotional lessons in our classroom. The jumbo emotion stones give my students a tactile and visual way of introducing emotions. The feelings chart will be used daily as an easy way for children to identify and share their emotions with their peers and teachers, creating a more empathic learning environment.
