This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students consist of inner-city children who come from low-income families, and some are even homeless. As a teacher in an urban district, I work with four and five-year-old students ranging in levels of development. I have several students with special needs (IEPs) who are currently mainstreamed into my general education classroom. We have a classroom aide to help with classroom tasks.

We are a dual-language school where students learn English and Spanish. We are proud to be a national school of character!
My Project
Our students LOVE creating new things! I would love to add a variety of colored construction papers, triangular markers, car decorating kit, sketch pads, visor making kit, and baskets for storage to our classroom list of materials. It would be SO FUN watching our students create fun projects using these materials. The sky is the limit! With COVID restrictions, we find ourselves constantly looking for new ways to engage students and explore their creative side in a way that is safe for them. Having their own art materials to create and explore would be amazing. Thank you in advance for your donations to our project.
