This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My First-grade students will greatly benefit from the Ultrassist Human Skeleton Model and the SCIENCE CAN Human Body Model through fun, hands-on learning experiences. These models will provide clear visuals of bones and organs, making it easy for my students to understand how their amazing bodies work. By being able to touch and explore these models, students will become active participants in their learning, making it more exciting for them.
As my first graders interact with these models, they also learn important anatomy vocabulary, helping to expand their language skills.
My first grade students would also be working in groups, which encourages teamwork and communication, allowing enthusiastic first-graders to learn from each other.
This early exposure to anatomy not only builds their confidence but also lays the groundwork for future science studies, creating a lively environment that nurtures a passion for science in our eager young learners.
