Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will focus on math and science and will help build a stronger number sense foundation as well as critical thinking skills when it comes to studying science. I will implement the 5 Es of inquiry based learning and more hands on learning opportunities so that my students can interact with numbers and apply addition and subtraction strategies. It would be incredible to provide a variety of lessons that meet their interests and needs and have the tools that are needed to make that happen each and every day. Showing my students math strategies through hands-on activities will be very powerful. The number charts, counters, and math talk resources will help support and expand their thinking.
