Exploring Math and Science

My Students

I teach in a diverse school setting. We are a performing arts magnet. My classes consist of 50 diverse and unique learners. These learners have a unique passion for the arts and creativity. Our math and science classroom is a place of great exploration and critical thinking. My students love working in small groups to become better mathematicians and scientists. They are a greatly encouraging and amazing group of kids. Given great resources, they can soar to great heights and beyond.

My Project

It is my goal to give my students a space in our classroom that they can work productively and comfortably on assignments, since workshop happens throughout our entire classroom. Our class would love to have different seating options for our hands on stations that students can use to help while keeping them busy. Seating options like a new rug and wobble chairs that give students the function to move while working. Students require these materials because it helps support a variety of learners and enhances the learning experiences of the students who enter our classroom. This will also help to make our workshop spaces much more exciting for students to really jump into and explore their learning experience.
