Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students from this school come from around the local area. We are located by the Port of LA. I seek to spark the love of learning to the students in our learning community.

I am a 1st grade teacher that wants to build a community of learners that encourage and believe in one another.

At this time, they are learning about the world around them. They are a wonderful, diverse group of students who enjoy building on their knowledge throughout the year using hands-on activities and collaborating with their classmates. Throughout our 1st grade learning adventure, students grow in confidence and creativity. Help my students enjoy learning together.

As a teacher, I want to provide students with a memorable learning experience that they will cherish and encourage them to seek more learning experiences.

My Project

My students enjoy when I read stories to them. Most importantly, they love when they can relate to the characters or events in a story. I would like to provide literature that they can connect with. Students will be able to develop their reading skills and grow their knowledge of literature by experiences stories from books that take them into adventures that are like no other, connect them to their community, and expand their knowledge of the world around them. Spark their interest and help tomorrow's leaders to grow their love in learning.
