My Students
My students are from the inner city of Washington, D.C.! The school has more than 80% of its students receiving free or reduced-price lunches. We are a school that strives to serve low-income families to the fullest extent.
Every day that my students walk into the room, we are reminded to leave our worries at the door and get ready to learn.
We love to dance and sing. We love listening to characters take on new adventures and we love making connections to the world around us!
My Project
I am asking for resources to help my students explore the life cycle of animals and plants. The hand son model will give students a realistic view of how animals and plants change and grow over time. They will use the plant science center to explore the parts of plants and how to sort them. The sequencing station will allow students to use learned concepts and apply them in a cooperative station to put the parts of the animal and plant life cycle in order. The student will be able to apply new vocabulary to describe how things grow and change over time!
