This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our curious Pre-K learners are fascinated by the world of insects! To bring science to life, we need a collection of soft, plush insects to allow students to explore, observe, and engage in hands-on STEM activities. These stuffed insects will support sensory play, sorting, classification, and storytelling while helping our young scientists develop a love for nature and discovery. Your support will provide an engaging and interactive way for them to learn about the amazing world of bugs!

With these resources, our young scientists will:

1. Develop Early STEM Skills** – Through interactive play, they will learn about insect life cycles, habitats, and characteristics.

2. Engage in Sensory Exploration** – Students will use touch and observation to compare the textures, colors, and shapes of different insects.

3. Build Language and Literacy** – They will enhance their storytelling, vocabulary, and bilingual language development by incorporating insects into discussions and play.

4. **Practice Sorting and Classification** – Students will group insects by type, number of legs, or habitat, helping them build critical thinking skills.

These stuffed insects will provide a safe and engaging way for our students to explore science while fostering curiosity and a love for nature. Your generous support will help create an immersive STEM learning experience that makes science fun and meaningful for our youngest learners!
