Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As an art teacher I get the wonderful benefit of knowing most of the students who attend our school. They are wonderful, attentive, and eager to learn. They love art, and they love to paint and make messes most of all. They never fail to put a smile on my face.
My Project
Art education helps students foster their creativity, which they can use in multiple areas of their interest. Having a diverse selection of art mediums to explore will allow students to better define what they are most interested in. It will also help them push the boundaries of their creativity, encourage their individuality and help them find learning fun. Currently in the art room we have a lack of paper that can be used with wet medias.
Students deserve a chance to explore all the options available to them in a safe environment.
With this mixed media paper, I'll be able to expand their creative options in the art room. They will feel more successful using the correct materials for the project, which will make them want to keep reaching for more.
