Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help us learn our letters and numbers! Our Kindergartners are explorers. They need the tools such as white boards to help them learn and explore the letters, sounds and numbers.
My students are curious, and energetic children.
They attend a Title 1 school where the vast majority of the student population receive free or reduced lunch in a low socio-economic community. However, the challenges they face at home don't interfere with their eagerness and curiosity for learning. They come ready to learn and explore the many faces of Kindergarten.
My Project
With the resources requested, we will be able to learn our letters, sounds, numbers and help us with writing. For example, the white boards will be utilized on a day to day basis to help my students become independent learners and explore the various concepts of Kindergarten. The white boards are an essential tool where my students will use throughout our amazing English Language Arts and Math Common Core lessons. The alphabet pocket chart will enable my students to focus on a letter a week and master the letter names and sounds and help them move towards becoming readers and writers. In addition, the Literacy Pocket chart is a great tool for organizing and differentiating my instruction and help my students become responsible independent learners.
The resources I'm requesting will help my students be prepared for the future.
They need the necessary tools such as whiteboards and an Alphabet Pocket Chart to help them achieve mastery in English Language Arts and Math. The donations will help my students be successful and reach our learning objective to become life long learners. It is crucial for my students to learn the letters, sounds and numbers as it will prepare them for their future. I believe in them. Do you? We need your help.
