My Project
My classroom is filled with diverse learners who come into school with empowering experiences, histories, and identities. Through their perspectives, students within my classroom are willing to engage in rich conversations that push them to talk about real issues that impact the communities in which they live. They are further open to exploring historical events that have shaped our future.
To encourage them to explore the lives of others, my classroom is in need of text that reflects their rich background.
As text can be used as a bridge to other worlds. It is my duty to provide them with cultural relevant text that showcases the diversity of our world.
