My Project
I teach science to a wonderful group of students in grades K-5. The students come from mostly low income families. The students have a love for science and knowledge that I want to nurture and grow. This project would focus primarily on the 5th grade students and their exploration of food chains, predators and prey.
I am requesting owl pellets for my students to dissect and explore.
This activity is always a student favorite that they talk about and remember for years to come. The students will dissect the owl pellets to discover the remains of animals it has eaten. The students will be able to see how the animals rely on each other to survive.
