My Project
My students are primarily from rural backgrounds. We are indeed a small town school and family. A large percentage of my students are on free and reduced lunch. They learn best from hands on, real life experiences.
Electricity is a subject that is exciting for the students to learn.
It is hands on and applicable to their daily lives. They are very excited when they are able to make a circuit that works. It builds their pride.
These materials will enable each child to put their hands on their own circuit and not only to build the circuit but to change up the materials in their circuit in order to understand why different test items create different amounts of energy. They will use the voltage meters to show this. This is a real world application.
