My Students

Every morning, I walk into my classroom, and I know that my day will be filled with 22 amazing kindergartners. These students have an extreme amount of love for learning that I have never seen before!

My school is located in the heart of a great neighborhood in Philadelphia.

We are a public school that lacks the funding and the necessary resources, but we make do with what we do have.

My students have the desire to acquire knowledge and be engaged in the learning process. My goal is to support this intrinsic motivation with hands-on opportunities.

My Project

My kindergarten students have a perspective. Generally, they all have the same perspective. These books will hopefully change their perspective of the world.

These books will immerse my students into a world that they do not know or understand.

My hope is for my students to diversify their perspectives. I want my students to question different perspectives. I want my students to understand the different perspectives. By reading these books, I hope that my students learn about and accept the perspectives, though I do not need them to take a new perspective.
