The learners will conduct investigations on bacteria and other cells by using appropriate equipment to build an understanding of how living things and nonliving things affect life. The resource needed is one microscope for 25 students to do group exploration of bacteria, living and nonliving things in Science.
Our school consists of diverse learners including some at risk students that require additional one-on-one instruction. Hands-on learning is essential for effective implementation of lessons that involve investigations. This class is excited about conducting investigations and learning more about cells, living things and nonliving things.
I would like for my students to have this experience so that they can build an understanding of the process of exploration, learn more about cells, bacteria, living things and nonliving things. I would like for my students to be able to find scientific answers to their questions by exploration and extend this skill in life by further scientific investigation and lifelong learning.
