Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As we begin a new school year, I truly enjoy watching my scholars and my recently newcomers that have joined my classroom. I have the pleasure of working with several Gifted and Talented students this year and they enjoy STEM and ART related activities. These resources are costly and my scholars don't have these types of materials at home nor do we have enough of these resources on campus. My scholars have a drive for exploring more with hands-on STEM activities and having these resources available for them in my classroom would be awesome for them. This would make their classroom learning experience even more memorable. In addition to the STEM materials that I now have due to projects being funded, I am lacking storage for these materials and would like to have it easy and accessible for my scholars. My students come from families where both parents work some even at night so funds and time with their parents are scarce.

My Project

My students enjoy hands-on activities and love to explore building models. These building materials will help their team-building skills and fine motor skills.

These materials also will help build my scholars' cognitive development.

They will also be able to identify intricate patterns that will enhance their skills. The microphone will be used during our read alouds.

My scholars will have the opportunity to use the microphone and improve there social and build confidence among their peers. The clear bins will help with the building storage materials and be an easy kid-friendly way for them to open, close, and store materials.
