This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve as the library media specialist to 740 creative, compassionate, curious, eager learners, their families, and their teachers. Students from age 4 to 14, along with their teachers use the library media center as, not only a source for books, but as a place for adults and students to collaboratively learn. Students have a natural affinity for the outdoors, so let's use that curiosity to teach them about our national parks and their role in conserving and protecting the natural world. Books introducing students to national parks would inspire them to get outside and explore more of our nation's treasures.
