My Students
I am blessed to teach a group of energetic and motivated students. These kids thrive on inquiry-based science. I am also blessed to have a parent base with high expectations for their kids.
It is really obvious from the students that parents place a great emphasis on progress in the academic arena.
Explore Learning is a program that allows students to conduct various online experiments on topics ranging from simple machines to homeostasis and blood gasses in the circulatory system. Students collect data based on their manipulation of several variables.
I have used this product for the past several years and found it to be a valuable resource for teaching throughout the year.
My Project
Explore Learning consists of over 400 math and science simulations called gizmos. Gizmos are interactive math and science simulations for grades 3-12. Over 400 Gizmos aligned to the latest standards help educators bring powerful new learning experiences to the classroom.
Students interact with the gizmos and collect data based on their manipulation of variables.
This has been a great resource for my classes for the past 5 years. Sadly, due to budget constraints, our department is unable to afford this resource without your help.
The effectiveness of gizmos has been validated by extensive research as a highly effective way to build conceptual understanding.
