My Project

I teach at a low income school in Grand Junction CO. My students need real and practical skills that they can take into the job market. Many of the students at my school are not college bound.

Graphic Design is a booming industry that does not require a college degree to enter.

The students in my course learn principles and elements of graphic design.

This equipment can help put a physical media into their hands so that they can see the result of their hard work and make it real for them. Without this project much of student outcomes will remain abstract and theoretical.

If my students can print professional quality works from their designs we can expand their learning. With a professional grade product to sell we can move into marketing and business management. These skills should further equip the students to enter the workforce as graphic designers or even business owners in a design and production company.
