Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are working hard to find creative ways to explore science and music together. With your help we can provide our youngest learners with the tools to help them investigate with hands-on materials and create with new exciting instruments. A classic birch storage shelf will help us store all of these new materials for easy student access.

The tools that we have chosen will allow the students to observe, predict, investigate and report with natural objects and new scientific tools.

They will be able to observe light in different ways, measure with scales, build and create with new shapes with attribute blocks. These materials will provide open ended opportunities to explore learn and create. The gong, maracas, rattles, and rasp are instruments from different cultures around the world, and the students will be excited to use them to understand vibrations and sound. We might even get to dance while we are learning.
