Help me give my students manipulatives to help with fractions. Students need to see and feel how fractions work, and while fractions are everywhere students need regular practice with fraction manipulatives that are flexible and classroom- friendly.

My Project

Fractions is one of those topics that often pose a significant challenge for my 4th graders. The concept of fractions involves understanding part of a whole, equivalent fractions, addition, subtraction and multiplication which can be abstract and difficult to understand using traditional teaching methods alone.

The use of manipulatives provide an hands-on approach that engages students actively in their learning and enhances their understanding of these complex concepts

These fraction manipulatives would be a great tool for enhancing learning and understanding fractions in my 4th grade classroom. By providing concrete, visual representation of abstract mathematical concepts, these manipulatives will engage my students actively in learning, cater to different learning styles and facilitate a deeper understanding of fractions.
