My Students
Kids at this age, 3 - 5 years old, see the good in everything. Anything is possible in their eyes. Their innocence makes learning endless! All my students are learning at their level which is why they are always engaged!
My students are mostly African American from various kinds of household's and settings.
Most of my students come to school without any educational background (daycare or early learning institutions).
My Project
At this age, glue and playdough is an essential.
So many activities allow the students to create and learn within a subject just by coloring, cutting, and gluing!
Also, with the endless possibilities of art, glue allow the students imagination to be placed on paper for a forever reference.
With the playdough and playdough tools, its all about the fine motor!
Yes, the students are creating and exploring but strength in the hands are taking place which is so important. So many students come to schools without ever holding a pencil so I love the results this activity creates.
