Exploratory Science Lab for Powerful Learning Experiences

My students need 6 activity tubs, 4 teaching tanks, 6 tornado tubes, an erupting volcano and landform kit, and a frog habitat kit to perform a variety of experiments.

My Students

Do you remember how excited you were to perform a science experiment at school? Students are still curious and excited about those same experiences. We want to provide all of our students with meaningful and powerful science experiments and activities.

Our rural school consists of approximately 600 third through fifth grade students, 50 staff members, 2 administrators, and a strong and supportive PTO.

We have outstanding students with exemplary test scores. As a school, we set high expectations for our students and staff. Being a STAR School since 2005, we set an example for other schools to follow. All students at our school will have the opportunity to use the science lab.

My Project

This project will focus on life, physical, and earth components of our science curriculum. Students will be given many opportunities to apply skills and concepts related to the areas of science. The projects and materials requested include an erupting volcano and a spinning tornado, plant and flower tanks, and experiments related to electricity, matter, simple machines, solar system, force and motion, and properties of Earth, as well as, many more activities.

Young minds are already creative and full of ideas, and a science lab will allow students opportunities to explore their world and discover new things.

Science dominates our lives and society with tremendous opportunities and challenges. A strong Science curriculum helps bridge the gap between children’s Science knowledge, which makes science more relevant to their life in the 21st century and to their aspirations for further careers and education.
