My Students

Learning is fun, however in this new age of pandemic teachers and students alike are led to re-create new ways of learning. Think of the anticipation and excitement you felt exploring new concepts as a student. My students also share that excitement and joy in learning new things. They are inquisitive, voracious scientists who are excited to discover the newest engineering practices and to solve current problems in their community.

Students at my school are curious, compassionate, and creative.

I am a middle school science teacher, and remote learning has strained the resources available to make learning fun. Like everyone else, together with my students, we are trying to make science fun and engaging during a pandemic and ensure knowledge is passed.

My amazing students are often home caring for younger siblings because their parents are essential workers. This means they are responsible for their siblings as well as their own learning! The courage and dedication shown by these students are amazing!

My Project

My students are doing their best to learn the challenging subjects of physics and chemistry from home. Help me improve the experience of remote learning by providing us with a Wacom drawing tablet. This tablet will allow me to write and draw the models and formulas that help explain complex science concepts. Creating great explainer videos will allow my students to go back over these concepts whenever they need and at their own pace! Explainer videos that show each step written or drawn out in detail will go a long way toward ensuring success for all my students.
