My Project
These materials are meant for all students, including ESE, to utilize in a library setting in Middle School that is Title I funded for all socioeconomic classes. They are to help create an environment where essential resources are made of natural materials, providing organization, beauty and functionality to the student population.
Creative spaces are the priority of the library to encourage all visitors to take a moment for themself by enhancing their own individual growth and confidence through visits and engaging activities in a calm safe space through exploration of hands and minds.
Bamboo materials such as the pencil holders, book rack, file organizers and trays are emphasized to encourage organization as well as to bring in nature.
Individual and shared works are encouraged in this community space. I am hoping for students to take part in nurturing living plants with the terrarium air planter, have a mindful moment with a coloring book and/or drawing board, play chess, or complete a puzzle or two. These materials are to encourage individuals or small groups to work together collaboratively while focusing on one common goal.
