My students are ready to explore planet earth, but we'll need to bring our stuff with us in something sturdy and efficient, like a backpack! Help us learn through adventure.
My students are urban young adults.
They have grown up surrounded by video games and cell phones. Most of them have never left the city and have not spent time in nature. Almost half of them live at or below the poverty level. Therefore, many of their families do not have the time or money to travel. They have a love of learning and a passion for adventure.
My Project
We will use these backpacks to support our adventures outside our school building. We will experience the world firsthand, whether in the woods in our own city, in another state, or in another country. My students will shoulder these backpacks as they learn through experience.
Your donation will help us start our experiential education program.
Students for years to come will be using these backpacks to pack for the experiences of a life time. They will be so thrilled to pack these backpacks with the necessities of life in anticipation of the learning and adventure ahead. Thank you in advance for your support.
