This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fourth grade students are full of life, curious about our history and are excited to learn about Colonial America. My fourth grade students will be diving into Colonial America by participating in a project based learning experiences.

They will become journalists, researching how we share past knowledge of history with present day society.

The students will learn that decisions and choices made effect decisions down the road.

To culminate the project, my students will be writing and publishing a new paper called The Fourth Grade Gazette and presenting their learning to the other grade levels at school.

The girls wearing the bonnets and the boys wearing tricorn hats will give my students the ultimate experience of becoming true journalists during the colonial times!
